Peer Review Policy

1. General information

型左 Journal of Power and Energy Systems (型左 JPES) are appreciative of all the peer-reviewers for their time, contribution and support. It is only by collaboration with our reviewers that editors can ensure that the manuscripts we publish are among the most important in their disciplines of scientific research.

 

The following types of contribution to 型左 JPES are peer-reviewed: Original research papers, Review articles and Rapid communications. The articles published in this journal will focus on advanced concepts, technologies, methodologies and practices associated with all aspects concerning power and energy systems. It aims to present the latest research achievements, which have significant impacts on the advancement of knowledge in the fields.

 

2. Criteria for publication

To be published in 型左 JPES, a paper should meet four general criteria:

• Fitness of research field.
• Innovation
• Provides strong evidence for its conclusions.
• Interesting to the readers in related disciplines

 

Fitness of research field

型左 JPES mainly focus on the following topics: Power systems with the high penetration of renewable energy, Power systems including high proportion of power electronics equipment, Integrated energy systems and Electric equipment with advanced materials and technologies. Innovation

Innovation is the basic characteristic of academic value. The criterion of "innovation" should include three levels: first, whether innovation is established; second, the degree of innovation; third, the value of innovation. 型左 JPES interests to papers with new concepts, new technologies and new methodologies, and the paper’s innovation achievements should contain high theoretical value and application value.

 

Provides strong evidence for its conclusions

Author should provide sufficient strong evidence for all the conclusions, claims and innovations in the paper. It’s reviewers’ responsibility to evaluate the correctness and feasibility of the methods, equations, data, figures that support the conclusions of the paper. All supplementary materials must be directly related to the conclusions of the print paper and should not present additional interpretations or conclusions.

 

Interesting to the readers and researchers in related disciplines

Readers’ demand is an important criterion in 型左 JPES review decision-making. Our readers are mainly university teachers and graduate students engaged in scientific research and teaching, Researchers in scientific research units, libraries and information departments, professional and technical personnel in production enterprises, and science and technology enthusiasts. Reviewers should consider that the purpose of readers of reading this Journal is to grasp the research progress and the latest research results of related disciplines.

 

3. Instructions of different types of paper

Original research papers

Overall

Original research papers should report a major breakthrough in a particular field, Reflecting the latest and cutting-edge scientific discoveries, technological inventions and their development trends in the field of disciplines. It plays an important role in promoting the development of science and technology. Such papers should have new viewpoints, new analytical methods, new data and conclusions, and be rigorous and scientific.

Length

Original research papers may up to 10 pages (5000-6000 words), the data and ideas should be such that they warrant more space than a Rapid communication. The paper should contain no less than 20 references.  

 

Review articles

Overall

Review articles should comprehensively introduce, analyze and comment on the new research achievements and development trends in the discipline field, and show the author's own views, make predictions of the development of the discipline field or special technology, and put forward constructive suggestions and suggestions. Such papers should be highly authoritative and can guide the further development of the topics or disciplines under discussion.

Length

Review articles may up to 8000 words and include no less than 40 references and 5 display items (figures and tables).

 

Rapid communications.

Overall

Rapid communications should present a major, novel, and original research result that is of strong interdisciplinary interest or unusual interest to the specialist.

Length

Rapid communications should be no less than 3printed pages (2000 to 2500 words and up to Five figures).
